Market introduction:

The MG Astor was launched in India on 11 October 2021.

Variants:

The MG Astor is offered in nine variants, including Sharp, Sharp EX, Smart, Smart EX, Super, Super EX, Style, Style EX, and Savvy. 

Engine and transmission:

Powering the MG Astor is a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine and a 1.3-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. The latter, which produces 138bhp and 220Nm of torque, is offered only with a six-speed torque converter automatic unit. The former is tuned to produce 108bhp and 144Nm of torque and is offered with a six-speed manual or a CVT unit.

Exterior:

In terms of design, the MG Astor features LED headlamps, LED DRLs, fog lights with cornering function, a new grille, 17-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, LED tail lights, a shark-fin antenna, and the Astor lettering on the boot lid.

Interior:

The interiors of the MG Astor come equipped with a panoramic sunroof, an AI assistant, ADAS, Autonomous Level 2 technology, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a seven-inch fully-digital instrument cluster, three dashboard themes, three steering modes, an electronic parking brake, and a 360-degree camera.

Safety and features:

The Astor comes with ABS with EBD, brake assist, ESP, ISOFIX, heated ORVM, rain-sensing wipers, and cruise control. 

Seating capacity:

The MG Astor has a seating capacity of five occupants.

Colours:

The MG Astor is available in five colours, including Spiced Orange, Aurora Silver, Glaze Red, Candy White, and Starry Black.

Rivals:

The MG Astor rivals the Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster, and Kia Seltos.
